Hospital Attachment- Week 1

Week 1
Candy at Surgery Department

Day 1:
Waited for almost 2 hours to the so-called head of surgeon.
Met him, and we were left to this friendly Mr.Lee.
4 of us, with no assignment, no task..
We wandered around the ward.

LOL!
Wearing that white lab coat, we look pro..
But please don't ask us anything. Hahaha

Day 2:
We arrived there early as though we are doctors. Hah...

Made our very "professional way" to the clinic.
And..
I'm inside this room, with the friendly breast surgeon.

It was really fun in the beginning.
Having guided, FINALLY.
And taught by her as well..

Basically, all breast cancer patient.
Got patient with removed breast, breast discharge, breast lump diagnosed..
Bla bla bla..

It was kinda fun...
Till...
I also can't stand dy..
Breast.. Breast.. And breast cancer!
Oh my!!!

Can even feel the pressure on my breast. Lol!

End at lepak~ing and wandering in lab coat..

Day 3:
Arrived super early, like a punctual surgeon
But face like a poor on-called houseman officer.
Hahah..

First task: find that friendly breast surgeon, get permission

Second task: find the operation theater!!

Oh my..

There are lots of procedure to follow.
We are like headless chicken, heading here and there with no obvious guide!

But well, after few attempt..
We finally manage to get changed, prepared into this OT 5!

Unfortunately,
The nurses told us, "Ada pakai baju lebih tak? OT 5 paling sejuk tau!"
And both of us, stared shock!
No orh..nothing other than our 'inner beauty'

That's me.. Haha.. Freezing cold inside the OT. Like a long cube hurh??

My heart beating fast inside my chest,

I can feel the heart beat, so close..

as though my chest has became thinned.

I received a message..

a sudden one, while I was enjoying holiday..

(doing nothing actually.. ^^)

Text: "Candy, have you check your result?"

murmured deeply, 'aahh.. ruin my day! eish.. result.'

I quickly run to my room for internet access,

but.. apparently my little monster bro watching pps.

Trying to avoid the nervous breakdown

while waiting for result downloads

due to slow connection,

I went back to TV..

and once, I get to hold that black mouse,

i quickly search up, sign in, double check..

Double confirm...

annnnnnddddd...

I passed!!! hahahaaha...

How grateful am I!!

unfortunately, few of my friends didn't make it.

I'm really hoping, praying that they can make it through.

and yup, this is my another breakthrough..

reward for daddy

Looking at my dad,

I felt how grown old has he been..

how many days of tiredness wash off..

how he held up everything for me..

I picked up a call to make him a prank..

(He nervously asked me every time for my result release.. ^^)

Me: "Daddy.. erm.. result 出了。。我。。我。。我。。"

Dad: "怎样？"

Me: trying hard to hold my laugh... “我好像要去kl一趟了"

Dad: remained silence for quite long...

Me: Burst our of laughter.. "我pass啦。。哈哈！”

Dad: "现在会玩爸爸啊？ 吓到我。。 就知道你可以的！！"

Warmly felt deep inside the now relaxed heart..

and of course,

he's not gonna run away from cake surprise from me..

Hahaha.. though he end by saying, "38，你不早说，我吃得饱饱了。 你吃完。”

An apologize

Today's term:

Double parking

And have you ever try that??

Well, this is what happening:

(trust me, great story ahead!)

After morning 5am wake up,

6am drive to hospital gombak (1 hr journey)

Stay at hospital whole day long till 2pm.

Drive back, 

and I'm half dead!!!

hz.. what a day hurh?

Main point:

Lunch time.

I double park... My bad..

But I put my phone number for in case.

The food.. wahlao..

seriously delicious..

I enjoy eating eating and eating..

and...

SHIT HAPPEN!

I forgotten my phone..

Once i look into that old Sony Ericsson,

9 misscalled with 3 messages!!!

My god!!

I ran out..

In a nervous mood, I said, "Sorry" and quickly remove my car.

Once parking down, I settle back to restaurant.

All appetite gone..

Hz.. bad bad day..

Manatau,

my phone ring again. 

"1 new message"

Candy: hurh?? again arh?

Open

** 11** (Carplat) AMOI LO SO RUDE!

DOUBLE PARKING N DIDN'T ANSWER PHONE.

YOUR MUM SURE D*E IN SHAME TO HAVE U AS A DAUGHTER.

DIDN'T APOLOGIZE EITHER!

First reaction, harh?? I did apologize.

Calm down..

And I replied.

"Sir, I did apologize but I guess u didn't hear it.

I know it's my wrong to not being answer your call but there's no such need to scold my mum into it. You have my apologize again. Sincerely apologize from me, to you."

Few minutes passed..

No replied.

So, I decided to call.

(I have no idea where the courage come from but hey.. it's my mum that you're scolding!!!)

I called, no answer. 

He replied:

"Next time when double park, answer yr hp so we know where r u"

My thought: Seems like someone's feeling better.

"Yes, I will. I get my lesson. I apologize again for keeping you waiting for so long.

Accept my apologize and take back your words, will you?

I'm sorry once again."

One very smile drawing words came back,

"Ok"

I smiled like I've just save the world from earthquake!!

"Thanks. and have a nice day ahead!! :) :)"

and unbelievable,

he replied, 

"Same goes to you. Have a nice day!"

Well... what can I say??

He make my day to worst and then colourize it!!!

I guess..

I may still look the same old Candy,

but now... 

There's no longer misunderstanding and cause revenge,anger, hatred.

One apologize, one thank you, one nice phrase..

Everything is all good!

And maxis arh maxis..

The misscalled is notified through messages de lor..

If you're maxis user, u know sometimes the line really not stable.

Don't make this happen again..

From my point of view:

1st station: REST.. LOL..

Not a good start right.. but wait..

2nd station: REST

3rd station: REST

hahaha.. what a luck huh?? aiyoyo..

hmm.. we have like question sticking outside for us to read de..

so, yeah..

4th: Physical examination.

With a male stimulated patient(SP) inside and lecturer.

Note; SP are those ppl who act to be patient.

I did worst in there..

REASON: the SP is a bad actor.

He breathe through mouth and expect me to see it as respiratory distress.

Oi, SIR! respiratory distress not like that ok!!

Then I said, "Can you pls take deep breath in and out?"

Eish.. he can't breath properly arh..

So, I report what I found lor..

manatau lecturer said: "he's a normal patient. His breathing is normal"

I think it's because he wanted to give me clue. Manatau get it worst.

hz~~~

so, I can't finish everything in the 5 minutes time.. :((((

5th station: Lymph node examination.

There was a lump in the neck.

It's a lady lar.. kinda old dy..

the thing is.. I dunno whether it's fat or mass.

so, i ignore it.. Manatau it's a mass..

hahahaha..

Epic fail lar.. Candy!!

6th station: Pain in chest. History taking.

Uncle!! can't you talk more arh??

I ask one question, u answered one word.

susah la tu!!

eish..

7th station: Denggi fever. History taking with lecturer.

Oi, budak.. itchy say lar itchy..

the way he do it's like, I thought he broke his arm..

LOL!!

I think I need to improve my body language reading..

hahaha..

So, yeah..

that's all lor..

I done kinda bad actually.

Cause I didn't get ALL the marks..

Well.. The main point is..

I'M HAVING MY OSCE TOMORROW!!!

(oh ya.. we gonna need glove!! Digital rectal examination.
wonder what is that? Google it.. haha)

note: OSCE= practical exam.

Which gonna test us upon our clinical skills.

Sounds pro right?? memorize work banyak lor..

hahah..

IMU boleh marh.. memorize only..

medicine surely by your hand if you have enough memory..

So, get as big hard disk as possible!!!

Well..

I'm mainly studying how to "touch, feel, undress" my patient.

hahaha..

even learn to wash "PROPER" handwashing!

P/S: I practice every now and then..hahaha.. before&after meal

I grown up to this age..

I had never... never..

been humiliated in this way before..

The Humiliation..

My housemate is an "asshole"!!

I'm sorry to use that word..

but she is!!

I was as usual..

using MINE clothes hanger (those standing type).

She had her clothes hanging as well..

It's all dry. 

Why can't she take it away?

Since she's at the living room as well!!!!

I was feeling so uncomfortable having her

in the living room while

I was hanging my clothes.

Note: she's with her bf..

waiting for her sister (another of my housemate)

What else you gonna hang along with your clothes??

Now, I'm so regret to hang my clothes, should have waited.

And.. she and her bf..

just kept laughing all the way..

but I seriously felt heart broken towards my laptop..

although it's not so grand laptop, 

it's a present that accompany me since I was out for study.

I just had one in IMU!!

yeah, IMU!! hahaha..

It happen in the midway of lecture..

and the lecturer just, "You all know what to do in fire drill, right? Can we continue?"

LOL!

It's like as though so normal..

but still, we went out..

Note: IMU has lift despite only 4 floor.

All my batchmates still want to use lift in fire drill..

hahaha..

After the rehearsal,  our medical dean (sort of manager/head)

he make announcement " Thank you for participating in the fire drill rehearsal"
